The Forbury Hotel and Volunteer Fundraisers 3munkees have teamed up to raise funds for The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance. (*more details below)

Everybody’s favourite northern comedian, Jason Manford, has announced a brand new tour for 2013. The show promises to feature a wealth of comedy anecdotes, misunderstandings and audience banter delivered with Jason’s likeable charm and teasingly intelligent wit.

After a massive success of last year’s festival, Reading comedy festival returns this autumn.

On Saturday 22^nd June 2013, in association with the producers of the “World’s Best Vodka”, Chase Distillery, we are offering you a unique opportunity to experience the products created by William Chase, also famed for the creation of Tyrrell’s crisps.

Our Chase Road Trip begins at the Forbury with coffee and a bacon sandwich at 9.30am, the perfect way to start the day.  Then you will be departing the hotel at 10.15am to visit the home of Chase!!

This unique experience will show you where they mash, ferment, strip, distil and hand bottle all of their spirits using only traditional methods.  This will also give you the opportunity to see where they grow all their raw materials - on their own farm in Herefordshire. By taking total control over the process, from seed to bottle they are able to ensure they produce the finest, smoothest vodka with true provenance that you will be able to sample at the end of your tour.

The tour will take up to an hour and a half and will include a tutored tasting session.  Once complete you will return to our Cerise Bar for approximately 5pm to enjoy a Chase Martini, made with their very own potato vodka.

Tickets for our road trip are just £45.00 per person, this includes breakfast, transport to and from the distillery, guided tour and a cocktail upon your return.
